Introducing our inaugural release of the Mt. Veeder Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, an exceptional wine crafted from grapes grown at our Altezia Estate Vineyard. Perched at an impressive 2,550 feet, this vineyard is among the highest in Napa Valley, lending unique character to the fruit. To preserve its vibrant freshness and acidity, the grapes were hand-harvested under the cover of night. After a five-day cold soak, native fermentation commenced in a mix of oak and stainless steel, with twice-daily pumpovers until dryness was achieved, followed by pressing at 17 days. The wine then underwent spontaneous malolactic fermentation in 100% French oak barrels, 50% of which were new. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving the purity and integrity of this remarkable Cabernet Sauvignon.

This wine opens with a focused entry that draws you in with an enticing bouquet of black currant, dark chocolate, and hints of sage. As the wine unfolds on the palate, the juicy mid-palate reveals layers of rich dark fruit, seamlessly intertwined with notes of black olive and a subtle cedar undertone. The fine tannins provide a refined structure, leading to a long, elegant finish that lingers with the wine’s signature complexity and depth. This vintage is a true reflection of its terroir, showcasing both power and finesse in every sip.
