Sourced from the Durell Vineyard nestled in the Sonoma Coast AVA, this wine epitomizes meticulous winemaking techniques. Hand-harvested at night to preserve their inherent freshness and acidity. Post-harvest, each grape underwent a precise destemming process, with hand-selected stems reintegrated into the tank to enhance structural complexity. Following a three-day cold soak, the wine embarked on a native yeast fermentation journey, guided by minimal pumpovers to gently coax out color and tannins. Upon reaching optimal dryness, the wine underwent spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barrel, contributing a creamy texture and layers of depth. This methodical approach has resulted in a wine that captures the essence of its terroir.
